Short Professional Biography

Lori Gould joined CNYRC in 2006 and served as the Chief Financial Officer until she was appointed to Executive Director in September of 2010.

Ms. Gould has a well-balanced and diverse professional career that spans over 30 years of experience working in both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. Her strengths are in the areas of financial management and human resources. However, she is also responsible for the oversight of Contracts and Grants administration, ensuring adherence to applicable federal, state, or local legislation, as well as supporting the needs of her Board and staff.

Over the years, she has developed and implemented strategic plans that improved operational efficiency and aligned the corporate vision and mission, policies and practices with organizational objectives and corporate culture. She is very dedicated to the mission of serving Veterans and for the research that affects their care and as well as the care of many others through the advancement of medical research.


 

Clinical Trial Center Team

Our Clinical Trial Center Team serves as the point of contact for all information relating to clinical trials, and as a liaison between Syracuse VA Medical Center Principal Investigator and Study Sponsors. Our coordinators share in the passion of our research and the potential it can yield by improving the lives of our Veterans and Americans. They work to assure compliance of general and study specific regulatory related processes with internal Veteran Affairs Medical Center Standard Operating Procedures as well as external regulatory agencies such as the FDA. They coordinate and participate in a variety of complex activities involved in the collection, compilation, documentation and analysis of clinical research data.

Short Professional Biography

As the Regulatory/Compliance Coordinator for the Clinical Research Team, Autum is the primary point of contact for all aspects relating to clinical trials that are conducted at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. As the liaison between the Principal Investigators and Study Sponsors, Autum is responsible for all activities relating to initiating and participating in clinical studies. Autum works closely with the Clinical Research Coordinators to ensure they are performing their duties in compliance with all applicable regulations. Autum also serves as the Program Support Assistant to the Executive Director. Autum brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from her 14 years with the Corporation.

Amanda is a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Central New York Research Corporation. Amanda is transferring into clinical research with 5 years of Phlebotomy experience. Her knowledge of clinical healthcare, as well as direct patient care, will be useful with new hands on laboratory based studies.

Specialized Training/Skills: Certified in various cognitive battery assessments, muscle testing assessments and the ALSFRS-R scale for ALS research and treatment.
Areas of Research: : Neurology including research in the following areas: Post-Polio Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, ALS, Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia and NAION, Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Cerebrovascular including Stroke, Cardiology, Epilepsy (Pediatric and Adult).

Short Professional Biography

Alisha Hartwell is a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Central New York Research Corporation. Alisha is new to Clinical Research and is looking forward to learning and growing into this field with the team at Central New York Research Corporation. Before Alisha began working in the Clinical Research field, she worked as a Medicaid Service Coordinator, assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in all areas of their daily lives, including coordinating their health services. Alisha has experience in conducting assessments for various neurological disorders and is certified in the ALSFRS-R scale for ALS research and treatment, as well as various cognitive battery assessments used in neurological research.
